Free and Low-cost Realtime Online Teaching Tools

This was presented at a special venue: Keynote conference.com. Dave made his own recordings and points out that there are 2 URLs for recordings because he had to exit and reenter to restart the recording process. He means for the first recording to end when the unbearable noise starts. Listeners can just stop it there and go to the second recording.

Learning Times RECORDING Creating Community With Blogs

The speaker is presenting on blogs and wants to show how they can be used to present a paper; in other words, model what he is presenting on. He uses blogs in an English composition course, not just as a way to provide journals for the students, but to create a higher level of interactivity in the class and a greater sense of community. He discusses the kind of preparation needed to get a class using blogs as well as what kinds of assignments are best suited to that particular medium.
